Well it's September now and Nextel/Moto has not released the i860 for public consumption, nor have they relased any bluetooth enabled phones.
I find it very amusing to ask the employees at the Nextel kiosk in my local mall about release dates for the bluetooth phone (i605). They have no idea what I am talking about; but are very quick to recomend a NASCAR Jeff Gordon phone.
I simply do not understand why nextel insists on being the last carrier on the block to add a bluetooth enabled hardware option in their product line. Nextel has been very quick with technologies like Direct Connect and GPS/TeleNav; yet they insist on using a chord to connect the phone to headsets, PCs, or in our case... cars.
I have argued this point on HoFo at length, and I usually have to fight my way through all the flames. I get ripped by people with that "Who cares about all those gadgets" attitude. For the people who do NOT care about bluetooth, or camera features, or MP3 support, Nextel has a long list of products. But if you want any of the newer features currently offered by almost every other carrier, nextel has no option for you. And BTW; there are numerous posts on this forum (and HoFo) of folks who have pruchased the add-on bluetooth adapter and it does NOT work with the TL.
Now, everybody paypal master Mobilezen 25 bucks.
