New Navigation disc

Does anyone have the iso file for the new white disc, I believe it's 4.92. I'm not sure if it will work, but I was able to take the 4.63 disc, take the iso file off of it and and write it to another disc successfully. It worked fine with my car. I'd really like to try this with 4.92 or 4.81. I think spending the $185 from the navigation is garage when there are no significant feature changes. I can get an update to a TomTom for $40 and it has more than this does. I appreciate anyone that can help out. Thanks.

By the way, if anyone wants a 4.63 "backup" disc to see if it will work, I'll be happy to supply it.

I put the 4.63 copy disc in my car and it worked fine. What additionally would you like for proof?

That's not proof at all.

A video, for example, is an excellent form of proof.

I can put a video together, but I'm not selling it, I would just send it to someone for use. I'm not trying to make money off of it. If you really want a video I can try to put one together.

Please do make a video =)

No one has been successful at duplicating a navi disc, yet.

Lastly, this thread will probably get locked.

Does it need to do anything other than start up and show that it works?

Let me know if works ok. Also, does anyone have a 4.92 iso file that I can give a try. Thanks.

The 4.63 white disk was able to be copied---there was a torrent file floating around for it a while back. I was able to successfully copy it and upgraded a friend's navi with it (I have the 3.X Orange disk).
I believe I saw a post somewhere saying that you could not copy the 4.81 version. I would presume they kept that non-functionality with 4.92, but would be interested to hear your results, should you get your hands on a copy.

No one's been able to duplicate the 2004/5/6 ORANGE disk yet.
There has been success with the 2007/8 WHITE disk however.

For some reason, the 2 types have totally different copy protection schemes.

would be interested as well. i dont see how they can prevent it from being copied? they probably put some security measure but just like Movies have a measure than any aftermarket software can break dvdxcopy comes to mind but there are newer ones.

OP if you do make a copy i will purchase.. maybe you could invest the 185 and than sell the copies for like 40? you can make your money back and more

That would be illegal and can get this thread shutdown. Please refrain. The thread is asking if the latest disk CAN be copied.

Negative. Copying a disc for your personal use as a backup or working copy is perfectly legal.
But when you get yours, let us know if you can copy it, please.
