New Nav touch screen

Ive been trying to find the answer to my question by browsing through the forum but cant find exactly the answer i am looking for.

Is it possible to swap out my oem touch screen with an aftermarket and still have all or most of oem functions operate assuming the new screen has enough inputs? Im thinking of doing a car pc and maintain oem nav.

I've seen it done on here somewhere. Other than that, I can't help you.

Its hard bud... not just equipment wise but you need 2 stock circuit boards and trying to fit them and a touchscreen and board for aftermarket... i had to dremel some serious plastic inside the dash and a lot of the metal housing for nav screen.

Its such a bitch I got everything looking good pc wise i put integrating stock nav on hold because it 6 days of headache. Looks good now but it was much easier to add carputer to factory screen.
