Exclamation New member need help! I try to search, but doesnt help!

hi im pretty new to this forum, just have my car about 2 week! so i try to install a double din dvd deck in to my 06 base with navigation....got everything done perfect just one big problem now the navigation doesnt work anymore!!! plz help

edit : i try to search but its doesnt work! this pretty new to this (old member from ) so doesnt know how does it work yet! plz help thankz alot!

this is going to be very hard to help you fix, as its not very common and it could be A lot of little things.


Re-check your work, and go from there.
check all wires, all connections.

Where did you install the double din? Did you take out the OEM head unit? If so, the nav screen probably gets stuck on the disclaimer screen then turns off and the touch screen in unresponsive. You need the OEM radio hooked up for the nav to work. There is a thread where someone was able to remove mother board on the radio and relocate it to keep the OEM navigation working.

thanks guys for the info!!
yeah i took out my OEM head unit >.<
sigh* so i gotta stick with the oem head unit? or relocated it under the oem unit! there is no other way unless i swap out the mother board??

Yes. If you really want to keep the aftermarket unit then you'll need to remove the motherboard. Search for the thread and see if it's worth taking the board out...it seems like a lot of work to extend all the wires and remove the board.

It's the only way to have the navi work with the aftermarket head unit.
