Hmmm, I haven't seen those before. It sucks that they left the orange reflector on the back of the headlight. My next upgrade is going to be to my headlights. Will probably end up just going through Bruce.

I've always considered starting a thread and just asking what upgrades everyone would make to keep their TLs looking modern and current since I feel like the body lines on the car still hold up really well; removing the damn amber reflectors on the headlights would definitely be up there along with replacing the dim factory side markers.

I’d be concerned about the quality obviously. If they’re anything like the depo lights there will probably be some sort of issue

Yeah, I can attest to the quality issues with depo products. I walked outside to my car yesterday and one of my switchback side markers was hanging by the cable. Smh

Those headlights are pretty interesting! I haven't seen those before either OP.

I've modified two different sets of headlights.

It looks like a "clear" set is also available.

Looks aside (being subjective and in the eyes of the beholder and all), I'm willing to put money on it that the projectors are TOTAL garbage so you'll have horrible light output.

but, it's your car, not mine

^but if you have good TL projectors, couldn’t you just swap them? I’m just asking for reference. Not planning on anything. Just a question, for others who are not headlight guru’s, like myself...

Doubtful that they use the same mounts.. They look like square projectors whereas the TL ones are 3" circular ones.

Oh, I didn’t think of that. Thought it was just a square led around the front of a round projector.

I agree. It looks like that's the case actually. I think I see a round-shaped projector in the back?

It would be a lot of work to swap out the projectors though. You would have to bake and open up the OEM headlights, remove the projectors, bake and open up the aftermarket headlights, dismount the aftermarket projectors, and then reinstall the OEM projectors.

It looks like too much work in my opinion, unless someone REALLY likes the squared LEDs and wants to have them.

To be honest, has anyone here ever bought a pair of non oem headlights with good results?

While the style is def refreshing and looks updated, the entire quality of the those headlights are most likely going to be crap
moisture in the headlights
bad light output
might not align properly when mounting

are just some of the things you might expect from aftermarket off brand headlights

All true. Honestly, I've had each of these experiences with aftermarket headlights, but I've had some successes, too.

I personally wouldn't buy these for all the reasons mentioned, but I *DO* like the horizontal light bar--slap that on wusty's angel eyes mod and I might be persuaded to change out my look-as-good-as-new OEMs.
(I dunno if the orange side reflector is still a DOT requirement for some states)

My two pennies...

Those look nice, almost as nice as that kitchen!

I'm very interested in seeing how the turn signal output is.
I've always wanted to retrofit something like the LCI BMW 3 series turn signals. They're insanely bright - hope this turn signal design does something similar.

Got them in! They are way better than I expected actually. Turn signals are great, really bright LEDs. Those white LED accents all around look pretty sharp too. Just need to aim them now but took it on a short drive and light output seems about the same as stock but with a MUCH better cutoff line.
