Need some help...

Posted up on the Audio section and did not get any hits, my car is now torn apart and looking for advice.

I have some radio noise from the alt that is driving my crazy.

Today I pulled both battery cables cleaned them with a wire brush and cleaner. Did the same for the main alt wire as well.

The previous owner had a system installed and I am 99.9% sure that something was messed up when they removed it.

As you can see from my post a month or so ago I found a large harness under the passenger seat.

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/engine-noise-through-speakers-697281/

Well today I thought I would try and start removing it and in the process I might found the faulty ground.

I started to remove the harness and here is what I have found so far.

Here is part of the harness, looks to be an aftermarket video/navi or something.

Here is a pic of a majority of the harness.

This is where I am scratching my head. I completely disconnect the harness and now the radio will not turn on. So I start messing around and find that there is a large blue wire running from behind the radio over to this harness and has an in line fuse on it. It was T-tapped into the factory harness around the amp and when I connect it the radio powers on. I know Honda did have it set up like this right?

Here is the blue wire which has a small black wire that is just cut off hanging there with it.

Any ideas?

Also with the harness removed and just the blue wire connected to power the radio to get it to come on the noise is still there.

Normally you will get an alternator whine if there is no or lose ground. I'd be checking all the ground wires from the radio head to make sure they are tight and clean. Perhaps this will help your trouble shoot it:

After removing the aftermarket harenss I have a new issue.

When ever I leave the car more than a minute or 2 I have to re-enter the radio code.

your radio is loosing power, follow the wires back and see if there are any more taps, or splices in and fix them.

The only thing I did today was remove this aftermarket harness. I was pretty sure I connected the blue wire to where the harness was tapped into. I am thinking that for some reason the blue wire needs a constancy 12V and what it is spliced into is an acc wire.
