Need help with my sound system

ok guys I'm going crazy here trying to find a solution to my problem. i recently installed my sound system to my 08 tls but have run into a problem. i spliced a 9 wire speaker wire which come in one insulator to make it neat. i disconnected the pin from the factory amp and spliced the new wires to each speaker i want to work with my aftermarket 4 channel amp. once i was done installing everything i have NO AUDIO from neither amps but once i plug the pin back to the factory amp i have sound once again. i have no clue what else to do!!! PLEASE HELP

sounds like you took the signal after the factory amp and it needs to be plug in or there's a kink in the chain..so to speak. Look up the wire codes and splice in to the pre-amp section.

Have at it: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/wiring-diagram-593599/

thats where I'm having problems!! i had an idea that the pre amp section was the issue. I'm new to the tl world and have no idea where the pre amp section located. i literally stood there trying to find it near the factory amp but have no clue where its at

The plug going into the factory amp (towards the front of the car) is the pre-amp wires from the Head Unit. The plug towards the rear is the post-amp harness going to the speakers.

What kind of aftermarket amp do you have? Is it coming on at all?
