Need Help with DOMS install

Ok guys, I’m about to install my Dom’s Unit and I have a few questions that haven’t been answered through my searches.

First, the unit itself:

Two questions about this.
First, isn’t there supposed to be a green and white wire that needs to be grounded?

Second, for the power wire, which is power and which is ground? One wire has writing and the other just has white lines running down it.

OK and the plug and play cable:

What is the extra wire coming out of here? Where does it go?

Finally, since I already have a back up camera, I was hoping to use the extra input as a secondary source input. Is this possible? Can I just use the blue and white wires as a switch like the black and red ones for input 1?

Thanks a lot!!

I don't remember the colors off hand, but will check for the which colors need to go where.

As far as the wire on the PnP cable, that's a ground and should be grounded. It helps reduce interference from any other wires according to the shop when I ordered it a few years ago.

found the info in another thread:
-Green twisted with White wire: Ground to allow DOM's to play while car is in motion.
-Black: ground to power harness of DOM's box
-Other white wire: this one is twisted with the blue wire and must be separted. The blue wire attaches to reverse light so camera will turn on automatically. I wired mine to a switch so that I could control the camera at will.
All the info is in this DIY thread:

There should be a green wire, it needs to be grounded. All white wires need to be grounded i believe. The single wire on the PnP harness needs to be grounded. The red wire is the power side on the power cable and the black wire needs to be grounded.

This help?

Thanks for the responses.

Im a bit concerned about not having the green and white wires, I purchased this from someone on the BM so I might have to PM him about it.

So has anyone tried to do 2 inputs with switches instead of an input and a camera?

yes, it's been done before. Instead of leading the wire that's supposed to lead to the reverse lights, hook that up to a 12v source with a switch.

This is how I wires mine.

2 white wires & green wire together for ground on driver side panel
Black wire is ground
Black with wire stripe is power
Red and black wire go to switch in the front. Make sure you run those wires directly to switch. You cannot ground the wire to chasis ground or it will not work.
Use Video 1 and leave the video 2 alone. Rear view camera only works if the switch is Navigation.

I read the instructions few times before I started my install.
