Alrighty so its been a while since I posted an update on my car, havent been driving it for the last six months for the most part. Clutch is toast and my dad is hella busy so its just been sitting, well he gets back from florida after the new year and promised we could get it knocked out so i can start some new projects. One big thing I have planned is doing a full system. Im leaning towards doing a Pioneer Avicz150 or the newer model depending on what I can get the old one for. First question is those of you who have done an in dash cd/dvd/navi where the factory radio is and linked the AV up to the factory nav screen how do you like it? video quality? glitchy at all? worth it? the other thing I was considering was just doing away with the screen and molding an ipad mini in place of it. I work for columbus car audio here in ohio and get a hefty discount on product and our guys work on crazy installs all the time so they are capable of doing almost anything. we had an aventador in the other day to give you an idea of how reputable the shop is. thing was crazy sexy btw...drool. so ya basically want opinions on that and then as far as speakers I am leaning towards doing Hertz either Hi Energy components or maybe Mille's up front and Hi energy in the rear. possibly an audison bit 1 and probably an hdp4 amp. As far as the sub/subs I dunno if I want to do Hertz or not really havent heard much from their subs as much as their speakers. Was considering either a JL W7 13.5 or a Rockford T2 12" or maybe 15" in a sealed custom box. I also need to incorporate my air ride setup in the trunk too so I need ideas for that. Might bust out the fiberglass back there for this one. I will be doing hushmat throughout the whole car replacing the carpet and all that while I've got it gutted and might be ordering a leather kit from leatherseats.com to replace the seats with. I just need some input, the guys at the shop are slammed right now and I need to start piecing this stuff together to get my car wrapped up hopefully in april or so. any pics/ideas/comments/input would be appreciated. I'll be making a progress thread for all of this too as soon as I get it all started.
