Ok so I have my sweet little system getting redone and i blew my first type x because it was wired incorrectly...

for the purpose of my question just know i have a pdx 1.1000 and the swx-1243d (type x 12)

so i have looked at the wiring diagram for the type x sub and there are two seperate diagrams for wiring one sub with one amp

there is one that says 4 ohms + 4 ohms and a seperate wiring diagram for 2 ohms...which one do i use to do it correctly?

 

it really doesn't matter... 'cause that Amplifier throws out the same wattage whether you have a 2 ohm or 4 ohm load...

How are you getting the signal to the amplifier? LOC, Clean Sweep, 3Sixty, etc... 'cause I'm willing to bet that you're blowing the sub 'cause of crimping in the signal... or just plain old amplifier gain control... or both...
