Need a groove into console

I had the iSimple Gateway installed in my '05 TL but need a groove on the edge of the console enclosure for the wire to come out without clamping down on the wire. What would be the best way to do this?

Center console/storage? There's alread a wire outlet/groove there (at least inthe '07/'08).

Otherwise a picture of where this is installed might help figure best way to cut one.

The 04 to early 06's don't have the wire groove pass-through. I believe the 07/08 TLs groove is on the driver's side of the console.

You can probably use a dremel tool to cut a small groove and glue felt cloth inside the new groove to make it appear like OEM.

two pennies.

I have a late-model-year 2006 that has the groove (see below). I suppose the OP could order the part.

^ I have an 04 and didn't have a groove, so I used a dremel and cut a slit exactly like that one hahaha, but on the right side instead.

I think I might just dremel it and see what happens. I'll post pics if it turns out the way I want it to, and if it looks bad I'll just order the one with the groove. Thanks for your help!
