Need Constant 12v Power

Can someone recommend a constant 12v power source from the fuse box at the driver's kick panel?

I'm installing an add-a-circuit and I'd like to know which fuse you guys recommend I tap from.

The source is protected by a 7.5 amp inline fuse, so it can't be using much current. I'd hate to have to run power all the way from the battery for such a small draw.

Thanks in advance...

check the power seat fuses, I believe that they have constant power. Another to check would be the window motors.

Power locks or seats would be my recommendation..

Just use the 20a as normal in the bottom of your windows are only on when the ignition is on or until a door is opened... add a fuse and a 7.5 in the top and good to go..!!

I'd use the seats, not as important as the locks..

you can't use the open slot 33? I checked with a voltmeter the other day, mine seemed always on. 31 is only on with key at acc.

Trew, so you ARE installing that disco ball in your car to match your leopard print seat covers and your neon rope lighting?
Nice, put up some pics when you are done

I used the Power Seat "slide" fuse. Can't remember what number it was. Worked just fine. I needed constant power to turn my disco ball 24/7

Actually, my DVD player has a feature that allows it to resume at the last point if you stop and then restart the car. However, it needs constant power to retain the memory.

ikm19, I doubt there is a constant 12v source in the trunk. Even if there was, I wouldn't recommend tapping into anything there. Run a new wire from the fuse box.

I didn't remove my center console to install the video thing, but I did run a seperate wire from the trunk all the way to the fuse box. I had to remove the plastic trim at the bottom of the door whells and the backseat. for the center console, i just squeezed the video wire under the plastic trim and unscrewed the 2 back screws so i could slightly pull it up to reach for the video cable connector.
if you want more info, just pm me, sorry for the hi-jack.

Do yourself a favor and run the wire. I don't recommend tapping anything from the trunk, either powered by ignition or not.

Running the wire to the accessory power outlet in the console will only take you a few hours. I would recommend running a few more wires while you're in there just in case you might need them later.

it requires a switched power source, not a constant one. Running the wire is really simple, the easiest way to run it is using an add a circuit and the fuse box, then take the wire and run it under the kick panels to the trunk.
