Are you talking about the subwoofer or the rear deck midrange speakers?

You have a few options, one is pretty simple. The others more complicated. If she just wants a sub and amp then you have to run wire for the sub, a remote from Fuse 32 or equivalent and you can disconnect the stock sub and use a LOC to change the signal to something the amp can use, unless the amp has line level inputs. (http://www.davidnavone.com/cart.asp?14&pid=212)

A more complicated option is removing the factory amp all together and using a processor and new amplifiers as well as speakers.

I personally used an audiocontrol product and am only amping the sub and the fronts. The rear and center i left off the factory amp.

There are a lot of people on the site that can point you in the right direction once you decide on what you want to do and what kind of budget/time you want to put into it.
