NavTraffic on pre-07 TLs?
Is it possible to get NavTraffic on pre-07 TLs? In NYC, a 20 minute drive can take as long as 2 hours... I was j/w if NavTraffic could be ascertained by inserting the 2007 Navi disk? I have an '06 TL, w/ Navigation, and XM radio... so I think I should be able to get navtraffic to work... I'm going to my dealer on the 29th to get my routine svc done and to install my '07 TL-S tails and program my new switchblade key and plan to ask them about it, but I wanted to see if anyone on here knew anything about this...
Do a search. This question is already getting asked to death.
The answer is an unfortunate ... NO !
The '07 has different electronics underneath that would have to be changed out.
I'm waiting to see whom on here does it 1st to see how many $$$ are involved.
As a fellow New Yawka, I feel your pain for the need for Nav Traffic.

No one is saying it can't be done. We just don't know what's involved or what it will cost. I don't know of anyone who has really given it a try to see what needs to be replaced, what doesn't, etc. It could be simple...it could involve all new nav components. We just don't know. It would be nice if Acura would chime in and give us their thoughts. But that won't happen. They would just give you the standard corporate BS line...and they would rather you buy an 07.
