I have an 06 TL and was wondering if buying an updated Navigation dvd will change the software on the Nav. I also have an 07 TSX in the family and the overall look and function is different and was wondering if i could get it in my TL

 

there are no feature updates, just map updates. you can order one from www.acuranavi.com for 185 dollars. It is verison 3.6, which is the latests. To my knowledge, the tsx runs version 4.xx which is incompatible, only versions 3.xx are compatible with the 04-06 TL.

 

I believe Acura switched the TSX over to the 4.X navi version starting with the '06 TSX ('07 for the TL). For the most part, you're stuck with that interface unless you install something else to replace it. Swapping out the pre-'07 system for the newer system has yet to be successfully done, but I think a member (psheu) is - or was - working on it. In either case, it is very involved. Search for forums for details.

^^ I Just spent $215 on my 3.6 version.... and you might get banned for distributing (and those who accept it) the nav software..

 

3.xxx disks cannot be duplicated by us due to writing methods. only the 4.xx can.
