Did you test out the screen? I know there were people selling the screen alone. But you would need to swap out your clock to the navi version, since your climate controls are up there along w/ the hfl.

It should work, since the dvd rom is only for nav. How much did you get the screen and new clock for? and where? and how did you test the screen?

So basically you want it to look like you have navi, without actually having it? No offense but I feel that is somewhat of a waste of money. I mean, it is a Navigation System. Whatever, it's your money. Correct me if I am misinterpreting this.

Thats a good deal on the screen, But if you arent going to use it it still seems like a waste of money. What you could do is get some really cheap lap top and install GPS software, mp3 software, etc on it. GPS thingies for laptops and software are only about 100.

I agree, it's a 'west' of money. Do you figure the computer and the plugs and stuff are just sitting there in the dash waiting for you to hook it up?... I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess nah, they aren't. I do, however, think it's a good idea to get the hole cut in the dash while you're waiting to figure out how to hook it up to something. That'll be fun.

You might able to hook it up and show the audio screen on it. You will need the schematic for the pin layouts on BATT + input, ACC input and GND input and the audio to LCD pins connection. To show video, I think it could be possible if you tab the pin wires where people use them for the DVD to navi conversion module to watch movie. For the clock, you will have to get the new HVAC module which will replace your old clock module. Then wire the wires to your LCD display. All the AC controls, bluetooth phone and audio is displayed in the HVAC module, audio controls are also displayed on the LCD screen if you press the Audio button. Again, you will need the schematics to figure this out. If you do have the LCD screen, why don't you look for the DVD navi rom unit and convert it to a full factory navigation system? I did my full conversion several weeks back but haven't have time to do a step by step write up yet.
