hi guys, anyone can help me with this? is it possible to somehow but parts to install into the navigator to watch tv/dvd? i heard that you can because the navigation screen is capable of does so. is it a myth? if it is not, can anyone help me going about doing it and how much is it? thanks.

 

do a search on headrest monitors......a few brands being mentioned in those posts.

 

First you would have to get one of those adapters so the Navi screen would accept video input. Then you would have to buy the tuner and DVD player seperatly.

Well actually, the universal navi-tv tuner that I got from ebay is no longer being listed. But it is very similar to the one that avelectronics sells, except now avelectronics no longer has a tv tuner built into theirs; just video inputs for a dvd player. You may have to buy a seperate tv tuner, or a dvd player with one built in

How do you get sound from the DVD player or TV tuner?

 

That is sorta the problem with our cars. Blitzsafe makes and adaptor for the 3g TL, which I think works fine with non navi, but I have heard there were/are problems with the Navi version. It plugs into the back of the head unit where XM is. The other option is an FM modulator.

I haven't done this mod, so I don't know how great the outcome is.
