All,
I need help ith my 2004 TL, a month ago, my navigation screen was giving me "disc did not load" errors which I restarted my car to fix. A few weeks ago, my navigation totally died on me and now I have a blank screen and all the buttons underneath the nav screen don't work as well. My radio still works but since the "Audio" button doesnt work, I can't change any of the audio settings for the radio.

Could it be a loose wire behind the nav screen? A loose wire in the trunk next to the navigation dvd player? Or a dead nav player? I'm lost.

Also, the DVD player in the trunk still works (meaning I am able to eject the dvd without any problems.
Help...

sounds like the nav unit is KIA but you can aduust the audio settings by pressung the tune button and looking at the clock you will see wich setting you are adjusting. use the tune knob to adj


as for fixing the unit i have herd good things about sending it in to alpine for repair. as far as how to go about that i couldnt say but if you search this section i think you may find it

Mine just died also. The screen turns on for a few seconds then goes blank so no navi on screen radio. Also, the touchscreen, all radio preset buttons, and information by the clock isn't working. I do still get bluetooth.

It all happened yesterday I think when I pushed "mode" too many times on the steering wheel by accident. I will try and disconnect the battery and hope that solves it.
