Navigation is off from current position

Hi Guys
I just bought a 2008 TL type s. While driving around it seems that navigation is off a lot of times from my current postion, for instance today it asked me to take a U turn which I did, but GPS proceeded to show me that car is going straight and keep showing that for like next two minutes and then it recalculated and fixed the positioning.
Another example is when it ask me to take a right turn which I did but it thought I never took it and then recalculate the new route assuming the right turn never took place.

I am sure this is not normal functioning, I tried searching on the forums and cannot find anything, any feedback's or input will be appreciated

The drive in the trunk, which contains the navi DVD.

You might want to try to recalibrate the navi as well. It might help?

It's actually hit or miss. It doesn't always work. I don't have the instructions off hand, but they're in the navi guide book.

I had this same issue on my '06 TL (no tint)... the dealership replaced the nav unit under warranty (no charge). I'd have them replace it and don't worry about it. I have an '08 Type S now and I've not had an issue with the navi. If the same thing happens, I'll just have it replaced too.

Just FYI guys, I took the car to the dealership today and have them look at it. First of all they kept telling me that there is nothing wrong and then i have to give test drive to like 4 guys in there to finally prove that navi is screwed up. They kept insisting that its the normal functionality so then we test drove another car in their lot which works perfectly.

Anyhow to cut the story short they ordered a new navi unit for me, hopefully will get it replaced next week.

Also when i bought the car back this inline diag screen wont go away, i found a solution for that on this awesome community and will let you guys know if I am able to fix it myself or have to go to dealership again

Guys finally the dealership changed my navigation drive and the GPS is working as its supposed to be.

Bzyrice, they wont give me my old drive, looks like they have to send it back to Acura to check what went wrong though I am not sure how true is that
