I have 05 TL with Navi. I just got a 08 Navi dvd disc vir. 4.62 to update my navi, but when I put it in my Navi it did not read it. It said " Disc reading error, consult with your dealer." Please Help!

 

According to the Acura Navi Disc Order site, the 2005 should be running Orange Disc version 3.70. This is the "2007" update as far as I can tell.

The site also says that on 12/3/07, they'll have that disc on sale for $149, I assume PLUS shipping.

Pretty sure the disc you got (v 4.62) is White and is for 2007 and 2008 models only.

From that site "The fall 4.62 DVD release is currently available to dealers for 2008 vehicles only."

Your dealer is a putz.

Ehh.. not sure if selling the brand new 4.62 version on here and then trying to return an old version of the nav disc is such a good idea.

Pretty shady.. I don't think these forums were founded on the subject of making deals that most people would have a problem with.

 

If you read the forums about the Nav disc, some people have said there Dealers gave them a copy, because they have extras. I checked with my dealer and he didn't have any at the moment and to check back. I was offerring to pay him for the trouble and shipping...not to be shady. However if I'm looking for future criticisms, I'll PM you.

You pay him for the 4.62, in return give him 4.52, which he will then attempt to return to the dealer and get a refund for the 4.62

Who said he paid for it or was getting a refund. How do you know the dealer didn't give it to him. You heard the one about "assume"? Is this all you have to do is troll posts, make assumptions and act righteous?
