Mp3 hookup

Well I read all of the sticky posts, I have a Creative Lab MP3 player and WANTED to hook it up to my 2004 TL with Navi but I'm not sure in the end what's the best way to do it. The blitzsafe sounds bad but seems like the quirks are fixed. Or should I just buy an Ipod and go with one of those hook ups. I'm really confused on the best way to get an MP3 player to work in the TL while maintaining XM.

Personally, I would say go with the Dice unit or the USA SPEC, both have Aux inputs which are prefect for your situation. As well they both support Ipods so if you ever do decided to get one, you can have full control over it from the radio and steering wheel controls. Also benefit of the Dice over USA SPEC, have IPOD text, but you loose XM. Con's, the AUX port has been heard to be flimsy. The USA SPEC pros, Solid unit, you could throw out a moving car window and it would work, good clean quality along with NO bleed from XM, as well you can keep XM. COns about this unit, No IPOD text, thats it.

Will those work with an Mp3 player other than the ipod?

Anyone else want to share their experiences?

Another couple hours of reading up on the MP3 player hookups. Can anyone help me decide on which to buy. Should I go with Blitzsafe or the P.I.E???

I'm not finding the PIE for sale at the recommended vendors, and I have no idea which Blitzsafe to get. Isn't one for ipods and one for other mp3 players?

I'm sooo confused!!!

OR

should I go with what was said before and get the USAspec or Dice.

are there differences with sound quality?

the audio will work, but the stero controls will not, just like the PIE and the Blitzsafe. All four units have AUX ports, basically a headphone jack plug, lead the headphone jack plug from any source to the one on the adapter and your set. Like I said before, USA SPEC is great, no XM bleed, clean sound, no distortion and also supports IPODS.
