Navigation DVD needs to be updated?

Hey guys, I think our Navigation DVD's our out of date, can we use different nav dvd's or is the acura one the only one that works.

You have to buy the Acura discs for YOUR CAR. If you buy one for the MDX, for example, it won't work either.

What is so off about it? Your area isn't covered?

That said, while the coverage for me is perfect, the database of locations is a joke as far as I'm concerned. When a big chain is listed under a bunch of different names (with random entries in each) and different types, it's a REAL pain in the ass. I couldn't find Gameworks, hell... I couldn't even (easily) find the nearest Best Buy.

Let's hope that in the future, these navigation systems aren't ROM based, but actually have some writable storage so that users can add and modify locations...

That BestBuy issue also happened to me, along with other places that have been at the location for years and it's not on the dvd.

Yeah, it pretty much seems like an address is necessary for most things. Well, its still pretty good for finding restaurants and gas stations ._.

yeah, the database really only helps with things by category. However, looking for a starbucks by entering the name seems to give me on that is really far away.

Does anybody know if the newest Navi release has more complete coverage of Canada? In particular I am thinking of Quebec--mine doesn't go much beyond Montreal in any direction. I know how to get to Mont-Tremblant and Quebec City from prior trips, but for getting around the Quebec City area in particular the Navi would be helpful if it included that area.
