You can pull the serial number from a honda by pressing map,menu,cancel at the same time and unit will display the information, but i tried with my 04 tl and can't do it. Is there a way ?

Are you talking about the Navi DVD code, and not the radio code?
IDK if you need to remove the Navi drive from the trunk, but it's apparently pretty easy to get to the S/N, compared to getting the radio out for its S/N.

Before pulling out the DVD drive, check for a sticker with the Navi code on the side of the glovebox, on top of the under-hood fuse box and inside the owner's manual and manual holder. Some dealers supposedly placed the Navi/radio code card with the trunk nets in the foam container on top of the spare tire, too.
