Talking Navigation

It started starting over once in a while. Then more frequently. Now it won't even stay on. Tried cleaning disc. Hope its nothing more than a disc issue. Says can't read or that it's open.............................

it might be the drive on it's last leg! I suggest you try blowing some compressed air around the drive and the latch and the disk and make sure there is no debris on or around it. If that doesn't help, it might be time to send it in to Alpine USA

Mine is doing something like that too, my navi works for like 30 minutes n then it goes blank . I press the 3 buttons for the diagnostics menu and press on "unit check" and then press "navi ecu" shows gps as "NG" I'm guessing that means No Good. Does this fall into the "send it out to Alpine" category ?

IIRC some people had some luck with using a disc cleaner on the nav unit. I think they were in the TSX sub-forum

Well, after looking around a little , I can't find any threads on using a disc cleaner on the nav unit. General consensus is to send it back to Alpine.
