Now that I've had my NON-navi TL for 7 months, I'm still glad I did NOT pay extra for navi. I haven't even ponied up $300 for the Bluetooth gadget that will turn my PDA into a navi. I simply don't need navi. Sure, I miss a turn every now and again, but generally I have a good idea where I'm going. One thing that never ocurred to me in the navi vs. non-navi argument is that some people might not have map skills and might not have a good sense of direction. For them, navi is probably worth the $2,000. Therefore, because navi vs. non-navi is an individual preference, this thread making a blanket statement about navi is rather worthless. Sort of like the 6MT vs. trashmatic threads.

Instead of offering a dedicated navi for $2,000, I wish Acura would offer an easily accessible and upgradeable carputer w/navi and everything else (xm, mp3 power, etc.) for about $3,000. That would be worth the money!
