Whats going on AZ? I've been doing some research lately on doing a navi swap into my 05 non-navi. I have a buddy who has a display screen out of a 2005, but no radio. My question is, can I use his screen with my radio or do I have to buy a radio out of a navi equipped model? I've already found a GPS antenna & sub display for $225 together. Still have to get the navi drive & disc, and trunk liner and I plan on getting the harness from Martin. I'll be ordering all of the screws etc from delray acura (thanks to bzyrice's diy post) as I get closer to the install time.

 

make sure you order the proper part sku. You need to order the RIGHT side trunk trim with navi

 

As far as i am aware you do not need a new head unit. That is just my guess though on when i was reading up on this stuff a few years ago.

 

you don't, you just only need the screen if you already have an 05 radio unless you're going from 04-06 to 07-08.

 

dont forget steering wheel buttons for voice activation features. No need for new HU
