Navi Questions for 07 Type-S..

Guys,

I just bought an 07 type-s, and after reading numerous articles about how to hack your navi disk and bypass the "OK" button and add your own image upon startup, I decided to attempt this. So I went out to the car and grabbed the disk, and lo and behold, it's a burnt copy, simply an unmarked disk from the previous owner.

1. How am I able to tell which version I have?

2. I'm not completely trustworthy in my own computer abilities to the point that I think I can do this without screwing it up lol, so does anyone have any pointers on how to execute this without an epic fail?

I'm fairly inept with computers, I know html and stuff but according to the articles on here it requires knowledge of command prompt, which is out of my realm.

Thanks guys!

Go in to the Hidden Menu (Map, Menu, Cancel for 5 seconds) and then press version and it should appear there.

Or, you can go to the trunk, eject the DVD, and check as well.

I would, but the nav disk that came with the car is a burnt copy, so the disk in the trunk is simply a silver dvd-r with nothing written on it.

I must not be very literate.

Why does your sig say you have an '08, but your thread is about an '07?

I did do the hack...actually, I had someone do it for me, lol. But, the OK button is still there. So, I can't help you. Sorry.

Are you going to change your sig, or what?

I thought you couldn't hack the 07+ white disc to bypass the "OK". Did I miss something?

you could totally be right, i tried scanning the entire navi hack thread in the 3g garage to see for sure but with 30+ pages, finding one tidbit was pretty intense.
