ok i have a 05 tl and my buddy has an 06 tl. on his navi i notice that he has gas station logos on his and mine doesnt. does any one know if the update disc will fix this.

 

You shouldn't need the update. Hit the voice command button and say, "Display gas stations." This should work on all 3G TLs that have the Navi (it worked on my 2004 with the original Navi disc).

 

There is also a setup option to turn Icons on or off.

You can select the type you want on (or off) via the touch screen.

 

the setup feature i know already but what im talking about is the actual logo. like chevron, shell and 76 they show up on his screen. the only logos show on mine are the honda and acura but not the gas stations.

 

The gas co. logos show up on my Navi when the gas stations are displayed.

Try zooming in the Navi view after turning on the icons.

 

i have the zoom in max.

 

I'm going to guess this is a Version thing.

I'll bet later Navi Disk Versions included an upgrade to display actual Logo's.

Just like you originally thought, but I would call it an upgrade/update more than a "fix".

 

while we're on the subject of navigations, does any one know why laser detectors go off when they're pointed towards the navigation system?

 

im acutally using my buddys 3.50 disc and he's using my 3.40c disc and he still has the logos.

 

It depends on what brand it is. Mine has always (before and after the recent upgrade) displayed logos for some brands and a generic symbol for others. I wonder if there is some trademark licensing issue.

 

ya i jus read the manual and it said that the navi is suppose to show some branded logos. acura and honda is mandatory
