Navi question
Navi question
So I decide to turn the Navi on today and to my surpirise I see this image of a road with a whole bunch of white little dots on and around it....?
My first time seeing this...does anyone know what it is? I took a pic of it with my cell phone (very crapy image).... but I hope you can kinda tell.
Anyone know what I did to make these dots appear and how do I make them go away....it makes the road I'm traveling on look like there's a plaque on it!
BTW, It's a pretty major road.
Thanks

Breadcrumbs are intended to show your path on unmarked roads, or offroad.
If you go into the NAVI Menus, you can disable them. It is more useful for offroad vehicles, say the MDX. I don't expect many TLers go offroad.
But as an example, my office park is not digitized. If I leave the breadcrumbs feature turned on, my NAVI screen will look like a bullet ridden map after a few days commuting.

). It is likely that stretch has yet to be digitized, or if it has, your version of the NAVI disc was prior to that digitization. I have similar issues with the rerouted offramps at Feather Sound.FYI, I am in the Westchase area, so you may see me tooling around.

I wish it could use the breadcrumbs to learn when there's a new road somewhere, or to learn that there's a road in an area not covered by the Navi. A new road opened near my house about two or three years ago and it laid down tons of breadcrumbs over the years; they disappeared this winter when I was up in Canada and it laid down a ton of breadcrumbs when I went beyond the end of the Navi's coverage. It would be nice if it could interpret, say, 150 breadcrumbs going back and forth within half a mile as being a new road.
