Hey guys,

I have a 2004 TL w/ Navi. I could do 1/2 mile zoom and 2 mile zoom, but can't do the 1 mile zoom. When I brought the TL in for service they gave me a TSX loaner and I noticed it had the 1 mile zoom which i liked the best. 1/2 mile always feels a little too close, 2 miles always seems a little too far. will upgrading my navi disc give me this ability?

I will have to check about the zooming in my car, but do you know the year of your TSX loaner?

I believe the TSX upgraded to the 4.x navigation system in '06 (the TL in '07). Unfortunately, the '04-'06 TL uses the older 3.x navigation system which is not compatible with the newer version. More details about the two systems are located in the 3G TL Audio & Electronics FAQ.

In short, if this is a feature in the 4.x system, then even with a navi upgrade for the 3.x system, you will not have this feature (unless they decide to add it to the 3.x system, which is doubtful).
