Hi,

I have a few questions:

I have an 04 TL without a NAVI. I saw some units selling on ebay. Can I simply add the screen and the GPS module and it will work?

Do I need an antenna?
What is needed?

Any instructions?

I know ur a newbie so i wont flame you. It takes more. The headunit with Screen, the harnesses, antenna, dvd rom, HVAC controls, & new HFL assembly.
I wish it were that easy

 

very involved process with over 2K in parts. You will need to splice and cut existing harnesses, add new ones, replace the radio, nav-screen, clock display, dvd-drive, HFL unit, and also get antennas and such. Look in the Audio FAQ at the top of this forums for more info.

 

yea. only like 3 people on this forum accomplished this install... better off trading it in and getting a similiar TL w/ navi and pay the difference.

 

Thanks for the info. I guess it's never easy. The screen on ebay looked very tempting...

I will not attempt such a complicated installation. Next time I'll get one with a NAVI.
Maybe the 2009 model...
