NAVI Help!

Two days ago I was making my normal drive up to DC to head to work
I had the NAVI running because I like to know how much longer the trip will take. And the screen switch to tell me my next move as it always does, next the voice should come through and tell you what to do. But instead of the voice I got a bunch of garble, sounded almost as if a bad radio station was coming through.

This alarmed the hell out me because as like all of you I want nothing to be going wrong with my TL. So I then hit the voice button to see if it would make the sound again and sure enough it did. I then tried to make a voice activated call via the blue tooth, this time it sounded fine. The car spoke to me and answered the command. So again I hit the voice button for the direction's on the NAVI and it just wasn’t working. Seems as though this is definitely through the NAVI. The voice works for everything else.

I later got back in and use the NAVI again and it was working at first. But soon after driving for awhile it started all over again. Has anyone else had this issue? Help please!!!

I had my nav head unit replaced under warranty for that same issue (along with it just acting buggy in general). Alpine makes the head unit. If you contact them directly, I've read on here they are repairing them for $125.

I turned the annoying B***h off.

I'd prefer garble to, "Make a Legal U-turn when possible" .... "Make a Legal U-turn when possible" .... "Make a Legal U-turn when possible" .... "Make a Legal U-turn when possible" .... "Make a Legal U-turn when possible" .... "Make a Legal U-turn when possible" .... "Make a Legal U-turn when possible" .... "Make a Legal U-turn when possible" .... "Make a Legal U-turn when possible" .... "Make a Legal U-turn when possible" .... "Make a Legal U-turn when possible" .... "Make a Legal U-turn when possible" ....

STFU already. I heard you the first time.

You called Alpine? There are a few threads on here explaining how others have done just that to get it repaired (not replaced).

For me, mine was fixed under factory warranty, so I didn't have to jump through any hoops. Do a search, and you'll find other posts pretty easily.
