I just bought an 06 TL with Navi on saturday....but for some reason when i turned my car on today the Acura Navigation Screen comes up but then th disclaimer never came up and the screen just went black, then maybe about twenty minutes later after driving the screen comes up, has anyone else experienced this and do you know what the problem might be?

 

The screen goes black if you don't hit OK on the disclaimer screen. It can come back on for various reasons - such as accidently hitting the voice activation button to talk to the navi - or hitting the audio button. Any one of these buttons can trigger the screen to turn back on.

 

Naw that nots what happens the Black screen that says acura navigation comes up when i start the car and then it just goes black. And then maybe around 5-20 minutes later the disclaimer will come up and then it will work. So the disclaimer does not come up when i start it for around 5-20 minutes and i dont know why this is.

 

Ok, well you can try a couple things to resolve this:
1. Disconnect the battery to the car and let it drain.
2. Pulling just the fuses for the navi/radio.
Keep in mind - doing either of these may require you to enter your navi/radio codes when you connect it back up.
This should reset the system.
3. Go to your dealer for a technician to look at the car.
