Navi/DVD Mod Soon - Audio Question

Hi Everyone,

So I'm finally going to start my Navi/DVD Mod on my 05TL.
I am planning on buying al the parts by tomorrow.

The only thing I am unsure about is the audio aspect of the mod.
I really want to stay away from FM Modulation. I thought by now we woudl have another option. I asked my installer and he said blitzsafe didnt have anything.

Can you please provide some input on what alternative everyone else has been using. And links or site would be much appreciated. I'll definitely post pics once i'm done w/ the MOD

Thanks In Advance,
Serge

It depends on your needs. I think your installer doesn't know what he's talking about.

If you just want audio aux, Blitzsafe aux/dmx and PIE X3 are the keywords you want to search on.

If you want iPod integration, then Blitzsafe MLink and USA Spec PA11-HON2 are the key terms.

Lots of threads on here concerning these devices. I'm not sure if you can pick up all the devices by tomorrow though, but good luck!

I'll see if I can find a good thread for you.

Blitzsafe did, but they messed it up with upgrades. Your best bet is with a USAspec or a P.I.E. x3 I suggest the USAspec.....I'm partial to it charging my ipod also. If your not worried about the ipod integration get the P.I.E. x3 unit.

Some additional notes:

Blitzsafe has two units: One provides aux-in (HON/AUX DMX V.2X) and another that will provide iPod support (HON/M-Link V.2X). Its either iPod support or aux. The USA Spec PA11-HON2 will provide both iPod support plus an aux-in.

Recently, there have been posts with problems on units from both brands. It seems to be firmware related and both companies are working on updating them. xtin claims that the Blitzsafe from logjam works fine. Good luck with your decision!

You're welcome. Good luck!

My install is tomorrow and I'll post pics as well.

BTW, I chose the PIE X3, since there are recent posts with issues on the Blitzsafe DMX and USA Spec for the '06 TL.
