Navi Backlight Getting Dimmer?

I swear it seems the backlight in my '06 TL Navi is dimmer than it was days ago. Anyone else experience anything similar?

Assuming I'm not insane, I *assume* that the Navi backlight is a cold cathode fluorescent and that either the 'tube' or the inverter is starting to go south.

Anyone ever DIY fix this?

Any info that can be shared would be appreciated!

Steve

Mine is dim if I don't push the ok button after I turn the car on to warm it up. Cold up north. Once I hit the button, It gradually gets brighter.

Really cold here (for Florida)... in the 30s... could just be the CCF isn't as efficient when cold - I know regular fluorescents don't like to be cold.
