Nav screen dim on start up????

I have been seeing this happen more lately and was wondering if anyone has had this yet.
When the sits sometimes for as little as 5 mins and other times for couple of days the nav screen is pretty dim to start with. It only takes about 7 secs or so to get to full illumination. I haven't changed the lights on the dash or anything like that either.
Anyone else have this yet??

Not only that... once you hit the OK button that is when it fully illuminates

How cold is it out there? My Navi screen used to dim in the beginning in Winter.

I'm in N.FL so it isn't really all that cold. But rather after the car sits for a period of time, sometimes as little as 5 mins or couple of days it does it.
BTW, what happened to the other replies to this thread that were here yesterday?

I found that thread and merged them now... (you created two identical threads/topics at the same time, most of ppl replied to the 2nd one, and I did to your first one)
