n00b here (on this forum) with a NAV DVD question...

car is a 2007 TL Type S A-Spec. got the car with a missing DVD for the Navigation. I purchased a DVD from eBay it got here fine and all... but when i install the DVD into the drive in the trunk all i get on the screen is CURRENT SOFTWARE IS OLDER THAN DOWNLOADED

what does this mean??

 

The DVD you bought is older than the software in the car. You need an updated disk

 

can i delete the software in the car and install this one? i spend $50 on the DVD and i cant return it....

 

search on the forum you can find many post on how to check the current version that is installed and then compare it to what the disc is you purchased. not all disc work in all navs different colors for different models different versions ect ect. you can look here and see what the latest version is that you need.

 

Why didn't you just buy the latest disc for like 75 or 99 bucks? There's also the other method that people have had success with.

 

It's a shame...they were just selling brand new discs for $99 through the end of June.

 

I was thinking the same thing...BUT you're in luck it looks as though the sale is still going on for $99...

 

Well i called local Acura and they gave me a part number which on ebay pointed me to the disk i got. i did see some people downloading the iso but ive never been able to do this before with positive result so i just spent the money on this disk i got which i figured was gona work. so there is no way to reset the installed software and just install the disk i got?
