nav to dvd install complete

Ok, this is my first time posting pics, so I hope these come out right. I had it installed at Pacific Stereo and the work they did was very good. The sound and picture is better than I expected also. I used the PIE adaptor, Audiovox AVD300 dvd player, and the PNP adaptor.

I'm still undecided if I like the dvd player there under the seat like that. What do you guys think? I thought it was going to be back a little more under the seat. I dont really want to put it into the glove box cuz I put stuff in there. I also thought about putting it where tl-crazie-05 had his on the back center arm rest.

Look good.

What dvd player did you use? I am looking for one with RCAs in the front like yours. Small enought to fit in glove box? Any problems? Thanks!

Looks good my friend. It was good meeting you yesterday. Looks like Joe and team did another fine install.

Install looks great. I'm not too crazy about under the seat either, but they couldn't put it any further back, or the mechanism under the seat will hit it, so you can't put the seat all the way back. The only other place I'm considering is in the center console, since I don't use it anyway.

Thanks man! Ya, the center console would be good too. I'll give it some time and just see how it works out. Also, i'll probaly go back there in a couple weeks to put the Viper alarm on.

How is the volume from your DVD player. My dvd player audio output seems weak since I have to turn my volume up past 20 to hear it while driving. I was hoping to use it as a dvd mp3 player but the quality is not there.

Overall cost including the PIE adaptor, dvd player, and install was about $440.

I have the same issue. I usually have the volume around 25 or so.

I just did the same install myself, which was not hard at all and the audio sounds great. The Blaupunkt DVD-ME3 has on screen volume control on it and can be adjusted accordingly.

Yea, the volume on my dvd player is up almost all the way but I still need to turn the radio volume up pretty high. Do any of you get noise from your dvd player? I get a little crackling sometimes. Has anyone tried to add a PLD or something to boost the gain on the audio out from the DVD player?
