NAV Display Mode

The NAV display can be set in Day, Night or Auto mode. Unfortunately, if Auto is selected it uses Day or Night based on whether or not the headlights are turned on. Therefore IF you want to simulate daytime running lights you have to set the display to Day each time you start the car. Isn't there a light sensor in the dash that could be used to see if the Display should be in Day or Night mode?

Good question.. And mine doesn't work at all.. Headlights make no difference, even when set to auto..

You can try pressing the "Max" Button which is located on the bottom of the instrument cluster on the left.

That should automatically put the Navigation into Day Mode.

I don't think so. But I agree, it is a nuisance to flick back and forth when using the HIDs as DRLs which I do.

ThaShef is right... I went through this myself. Hitting the MAX button puts the display in daylight mode all the time. I figured this out for the opposite reason!

And if you press it again, it will switch back into "auto" (I discovered this tonight after having the car for almost a year)
