It's about time bro. LOL
Can't wait to see it and hear it. I know it will be one sick looking install
Did I tell you that I'm doing some upgrades to mine too.

it will fit in the rear armrest, i'll just remove the cup holder in there. yep, 6 dvds or CDs or MP3s or WMAs. and the sound will be processed through the 3sixty.2's auxiliary input which is tunable with its 31 bands of equalization, so the sound should be amazing!

oooh yea. i forgot you had something like that before. i'm too thirsty to loose the cupholder! (seriously, i drink a lot).
i thought about going under the passenger seat but accessibility is not so great.
oh and thanks for clearing that up about the mp3 jack on the 3sixty. i was thinking that would be the best option for the sound to come through.

my old set-up myron n davis in the REAR armrest
and the mp3 jack or auxiliary jack is only tunable with the 3sixty.2 on the 3sixty.1 it's not. the sound will play through but you cant tune it for maximum SQ

I thought about putting audio gauges in the rear, but then where would 2 of the 4 diet cokes go?!
Oh, and I know you mean the 360.2, that's what I meant too. The .1 is basically like buying Tein Basics.....might as well cough up $200 more and you get something worth installing.
Without giving too much away with your current install plans, what did you use for the blue lighting? I plan to solder 5mm leds but I'm having a tough time figuring out how to hide them from sight, yet still put off enough light.

I know, the rear. I fill those cupholders up with diet cokes too! Like I said, I'm always thirsty!

for the blue lighting i used a varad wheel light up kit. they are i think 1 watt LEDS. its pretty cool cuz you could play with the light, you could make it strobe, dim it, make it breath, you know like fade in and out. it could also light up with the beat of the music. the wires were long so i had two of them under my dash, and the other two in the trunk. one in front of the sub, and the other inside the sub enclosure.
i still have it so i might switch out the LEDS with some red ones i did one and it looks pretty bright, so i might use it.

or maybe my hearing is finally starting to go.
Too many years of AC/DC at high volumes
Anyway post some pics of the progress. We need to make sure you get this done before the BBQ.

Good Shit... That DVD Player fits like a glove in the rear armrest...
No thread Jack intended... just information purposes...
For some reason I hated how the 3sixty unit processes the sound of the DVD palyer via it's Aux input... I used the Dice unit and then transfered it to the Peripheral Unit...
It's going to sound amazing...

The bass doesn't force the disc to skip being right there? I would figure that the armrest would be bouncing around with bass coming right at it......??

some progress pics for you guys,
0 gauge power wire
i'll cut the whole for the sub when i put the back seat and measure the opening for the ski pass. i dynamatted the trunk lid and most of the trunk walls
coax for the rear deck
they were a bit too big for the stock opening so i cut a spacer ring for them
popped out the stock tweets cut a ring out of the stock grill. the focal tweet fit in there nice and tight.
cut a grill out of the focal supplied grills for the tweets. this is how it looks on the ring i cut. i wanted to keep it looking stock, it does
i needed to enlarge the stock door speaker opening, focals were bigger, used a dremel and a metal cutting wheel
dynamated the doors
used a roller to roll out the dynamat onto all surfaces
all the speakers are rewired using kicker 16 gauge speaker wire. no stock wire was utilized. ran the door speaker wire through the stock door wire connector
extended speaker signals from factory amp connector for the 3sixty in the trunk
6 disc dvd player in rear armrest
i'll post pics of the amp rack and sub enclosure later when i finish them

I see you're off your butt.
Great work so far. So I dont know jack about this 3sixty2 you got, so I did some reading. So is it pretty much a high quality stock-to-RCA converter? and it says it's got a grip of equalizer settings but where do u adjust em from? I'm thinking I need to invest in better RCA conversion (currently have some el' cheap'o 20 buck converters). not muck quality sound out of them and if I turn up the gains on the amp any higher, I get lots of idle static (even when the stereo is off).

Dude, sick install in progress.... you've always had one of my favorite 3Gs. WDP FTMFTW!!! I really like how you fit the DVD player in the rear armrest, looks clean in there and like it was made for that spot. I love when people DIY their own systems.... not that there's anything wrong with taking it to a shop, but its interesting to hear their own input on the system and the install progress.
I always thought caps sucked ass too, seriously if something works great you shouldn't need 3 or 4 of them for a killer system can anyone summarize what that cap killer thing does? Is it basically just another battery?

i always do my own shit, taking it to a shop takes all the fun out of it. and yes that kenetic cap killer is just a smaller deep cycle battery.
