Multiple Bluetooth devices

is it possible to connect multiple Bluetooth devices to one phone...
ex: have my phone hooked up to my car hands free and be hooked up to my laptop at the same time?

Depends on the phone, and we don't know what phone you have.

I think Bluetooth can support up to nine devices, but I wanna say you can only use one device at a time.

You can definitely pair most phones to multiple Bluetooth devices. Mine is paired to my TL's HFL and to the earpiece I use when I drive our other two cars. But, as LoveMyTL-S said, as far as I've ever heard only one of those connections can be active at any one time on most phones.

You've given me the interesting idea of taking my earpiece with me in the TL, turning it on, and seeing if my iPhone connects to both at once. The iPhone's Bluetooth management screen shows a list of all the devices to which the phone has been paired and then says either "Connected" or "Not Connected" next to each. But I've never had two devices turned on at once because I've never needed to do so. I'll try to check it out today and report back.

Edited to add: I just went down to the car and tried this. It would only connect to one device at a time. When I turned the earpiece off while sitting in the TL, the Bluetooth immediately re-connected to the HFL. The earpiece did not reconnect when I turned it back on while I was still in the car.
