a much needed RAZR thread ;)
Ok so I know there are five million razr threads on this site but I've searched and haven't been able to find a solution to this problem:
I have a new '07 TL-S and I've paird my motorola razr (cingular) no problem. However, the hands free does not automatically connect when I get in the car. That is, I must go into my phone and manually connect the HFL every time if I want to use it. I've made it a shortcut so this only takes a moment but still annoying. Yes, my bluetooh power is set to on.
Any info is appreciated.

As stated in the original post, the power is already set to on. I will try resetting everything when I get home and trying again.
As for updating the software, motorola's site seems to indicate that there is no updated software for the razr (cingular).
still puzzled...

On doesn't mean 'On'
You're probably doing the same thing I did for a while. There are actually two ways to turn it on. At least with the Verizon version of the razr. One way turns it on temporarily and the other, permenantly. You need to go to the bluetooth setup menu and turn it on there, instead of the way you're doing it now. With Verizon you'd do it like this Settings and Tools -> Connections -> Bluetooth -> Setup -> Power. Then set power to on.

OK I finally figured it out....sort of.
I sat in my car resetting and trying to re-pair in every possible way. I found that if I pair for the first time while the car is in in the on1/on2 position, it will pair but future links must be manually made. However, I cleared everything out and paired again while teh car was actually on (in park) and all subsequent connections happened automatically whether car was in accessory mode or on. I turned bluetooth on and off in all modes and it now works.
SO...
If anyone else is having this problem, clear everything out, START your car, then try it. Although the manual said pairing can be done with the car in any "on" position, it apparently has a problem for some people, some of the time.
Thanks for all of your input, everyone.
