Motorola e815 Roaming

I just purchased a Verizon Motorola E815 so I could use my phone with the HFL and I must say I love it. I have one small minor issue that really isnh't a big deal at all but for the fact that I am very picky about minor details.

I live in New York City and work in Connecticut, when I'm on my way to work, the display on the radio says I'm roaming about 2 mins after crossing the state line. However, my handset does not go into roaming mode, only the HFL display. I called verizon and they confirmed I was on a national plan and do not incur any roaming charges. They said it's probably an issue with the bluetooth and I should contact acura about it. (Of course I'm dealing with Verizon here, anyone who has service with them knows that they have no clue what they're talking about)

Does anyone else have this issue? Or has anyone ever heard of it?

You could be digital roaming, that might show up on the HFL.

Verizon's Extended Network (which does not count towards roaming charges) shows up as RM on the HFL.

Agreed. Although it technically is roaming since Verizon's Extended Network is not their network but rather a network they lease from someone so that you don't have to pay Roaming charges. You could change your network service level on your phone to prevent this type of roaming but then again you wouldn't get signal.

Regardless, nothing that Acura could do about it.

I just got the Motorola e815 too and I live in CT. I noticed the RM on the HFL too and thought that it was some sort of older version on the e815 that did this. I'm planning on going to NY this weekend so I hope that the RM will disappear once I cross the state line. Could this be an issue with the e815 needing an updated software version?
