Cool Modifying the NAVI with major upgrades

What's up folks. I've owned an 06 Nighthawk Black TL with Navi for about 4 months now. I am looking for advice on upgrading the Navi screen 3 different ways.

(1) I would like to add a backup camera that senses the transmissions reverse gear.

(2) I would also like to add a TV Tuner.

(3) And Finally a DVD Player.

All of course would be "undercover"(Meaning the goods are there but out of sight, making everything look factory). I want to use the Navi screen as my main display for the Camera, TV tuner, and DVD player. I found a module on a website that taps into the NAVI screen allowing me to watch whatever source is currently selected.

I know it might be a pain to install but I owned a 2000 Honda Accord EX-V6 with major Audio/Video Mods. I had a Kenwood KVT-911DVD head unit with every possible attachement you could think of installed except for the Kenwood NAVI. It's kinda hard to let go of such amenities, but I love the TL so much, I just have to continue that trend. Any suggestions?

No suggestions other than Good Luck and I hope you can pull this off. Sounds like a really tough job, and if you do end up doing any of these. Take pictures and notes as you go so that you can post em' up and show us "not-so-tech-savvy" individuals how it goes. The backup camera would be really cool. Keep us up to date for sure.

Simple enough, a lot of us have done it. Do a search. THe components are easy, just have to choose where you want everything mounted.

I used a DVD/TV player combo unit to simplify the number of components needed. The toggle switch to go between the NAV and DVD/TV is on the left of the driver mounted out of site below the seat but easily switch by the driver. I mounted the DVD/TV player in the trunk, sitting on top of the NAV DVD player using velcro, as it's a leased car so I didn 't want to do any mods like cutting or custom mounting, not really convenient for DVDs but to watch the TV it's great since I have a remote extender in the passenger compartment.

My DVD/TV player also has an aux audio/video input for cameras, games, etc.

Rear view camera is on my list this summer to do.

Definitely search, keywords: "TVandNav2Go," "backup camera," "DVD*".

Check out threads from vandido626, slimmyjimmy, AcurasGhost, kennyc, DCC, Crook. So many threads out there. Just need to spend some time to search and browse.

BTW, the May TVandNav2Go sponsored group buy starting at $125 ends tomorrow, but there might be another one for next month.

Thanks for the tips guys. I took a road trip from Houston to Miami and Key West Florida. The TL got up to 133 and it was a smooth as ever. Felt like I was hovering over the road. Anyway, Miami was awesome. Wish I had a the backup camera installed before I left because I backed up into a low post that I couldn't see over the high rear decklid. Not that much damage, it can't be seen by the naked eye...but I know it's there and it hurts . Anyway, I'm definetly speeding up this backup camera install as soon as the dealer smoothes out my bumper. I'll send pics after the install .
