Mirror Mount Radar - 2008 TL

Anyone try the Rogue Mount found here on a 2008 TL? I know the BlendMount will fit but the Rogue is about $30 less.

I don't think you can tap into the back of our mirrors to get a power source. Back when I was trying to figure out how to hard wire my valentine I thought about using the back of my mirror to tap as a power source but there's no wires that you can simply unplug to insert wires to power your radar detector..

I also have a 2008 TL. I ended up just hard wiring it to the fuse box by the kick panels on the drivers side.

If you find out a way to tap into the mirror, you can just purchase this instead and using suction cups to mount the radar detector to the windshield..

$10 shipped

I hardwired mine to where the moon roof controls are too. Also made my own power cord out of an old telephone cord I found around the house.

I like mine on the windshield all the way to the right, so I used clear silicone between the cups and the glass. Been fine for a year. $4 perm solution. Hardwiring is a must. You can tap into the overhead console, or if you want to have a remote mute button, you can use a add-a-fuse on fuse $32 and put the button anywhere you want.

my beltronics is hardwired but mounted with suction cups to the left of the mirror and the mirror mount would be a nice permanent fix

Anyone know what the diameter size is 7/8 or 3/4?? Really would like the mount. My V1 is just suctioned to the windshield in the same spot the mount would go but would be soooo glad to get rid of that cord running right through my navi screen!!!!
