Hi all,

I have been wondering about this since the first day I got my car, that is, is it possible to change the MID text? (Flash, some tricky electronics etc...) What I want to do is to change the "DRIVER 1/2 DETECTED" to become "TERENCE DETECTED" everytime I open the unlock the doors with the remote.

Is this doable? Has anyone tried?

No one has tried on this forum, haven't seen it discussed yet, but I don't think it's possible.

I'm fairly certain the MID information is coded in a non-flashable type of memory/ROM/OS

I totally agree that cars' text displays should be customizeable... it just personalizes the driving experience that much more.
