loud noise from speaker after car turns off
I have an aftermarket radio, amps n speakers. The problem is everytime I turn the car off, a really loud noise(sounds a lil like aim noise) comes from my speakers about 30 seconds later. I had to hook my remote wire to another wire because the remote wire on the radio doesn't work. Can anybody tell me what other wire i can run the remote wire from my amp to? I'm guessing the wire i have the amp's remote wire hooked up to is causing the loud noise. The amp doesnt come on until the engine is on also. BTW, i have a 2006 ac-rite tl non navi. THANK YOU!!!
Either that or a screwey ground connection somewhere.
Have you tried taking a voltmeter to the remote wire to see if it in fact does not work?
If the remote wire coming from your radio does not work, then you can try the switched ignition source. That should work.

If I had the Hayne's manual I could tell you what wire to add as the switched ignition source. On my Accord I can't remember if it was the yellow with red stripe or white with green stripe coming out of the back of the radio.
