I've read a lot of posts and was just looking for a complete set of information on the 06 TL speakers. Crutchfield had limited info and Google wasn't helping...

Rear - 6 1/2 I think is correct
Sub - 8 or 6x9? What would be the maximum size for a free air subwoofer without cutting sheetmetal.
Front doors - 6 1/2 ? It appears I can unscrew the cover and get them out without removing the door panel which would be nice, but I haven't tried yet.
Dash L/R - maybe 3"?
Dash Center - 4x6?

I would just like to swap out all the speakers because the stock system is really weak, both highs and lows, but I'm not looking to install a ground pounder, just a nice low buck system upgrade.

Also, is there an "easy" way to swap the dash tweeters? I don't care too much about the center speaker, but some hints or pics on the l/r would be sweet.

It looks pretty straightforward except for the dash l/r speakers. Any idea how to pop them out? I'm guessing I'll have to burrow into the bottom of the dash through the under dash and unscrew them from underneath. Or does the grill just pop off and I can get them out from the top (which would be great)? I just don't want to start prying on them and break something - since I'll have to look at them for many years!

Carefully use a screwdriver and pry them off. They'll just pop off. The speakers are screwed onto the grills from the underside. Here's a link to my install. Hope that helps get you started.
