LED light upgrades

I have my OEM fog lights set up as switched DRLs and was using the factory halogen bulb:

I used IJDMToy.com LED bulbs: they're the 9006 equivalent-stock #

40-347 50W Max-Capacity High Power CREE R4 XP-E LED 360-degree shine 9006 HB4 LED Bulbs For Fog Lights or Driving Lamps

Here they are after installation:

And while I was at it, I swapped out the bulbs in my 03-05 Accord fog lights (uses H11 bulbs):

They're all nice and bright white (not blue as I didn't want that look)- total cost including the shipping was ~ $91 (these bulbs have the small convex lens over the front of the 2 LEDs in the nose of the bulb).

Did you have to do anything to the wiring or did it just plug in?

The lower fogs are wired to the OEM foglight switch on the left stalk (so it's similar to the 07-08 TL setup). The original OEM fogs of my 06 (next to the low/high beams) are wired to a switch on the dash (next to the VSA switch)- I didn't need any decoder, but you will need one if you're using LEDs for the OEM DRLs of an 07-08 cars since the DRL's will likely strobe if you use LEDs in that location. For the lower fogs, there should be no need. A decoder is about $15 anyway, so it's of little cost.

For my setup, the LEDs were plug and play.

Funny story when I bought my 08 TL type S last year, I had LED fog lights put in and my guy showed me that an old bulb was sitting in the housing. You only notice it when u look for it. Would only remove it if the bumper was ever removed.
