The Lazy Man's Fix for Sub Rattle
The Lazy Man's Fix for Sub Rattle
Should be self-explanatory. Just in case, the black thing is my manual holder that came with the car.

Don't laugh, this actually works. It removed most to all of the annoying sub rattle within my car. I plan to change out the whole sound system eventually(when I have the money), so I don't feel like tinkering with it right now.

Good thing for the trunk release inside the trunk =). This is great info already and I already gave you points but will through another question at you. Do you have picture of the process from a little farther back. Like outside the trunk to really determine where you are working. Thanks,
That I do, they are on my computer at home, I could have sworn that I e-mailed them to myself, but I guess not. I work till 9:30pm, but when I go home I'll try to remember to post. That may be tough seeing as I'm a die-hard Red Sox fan from MA, and I'll be glued to the TV. Either way, I'll get them up tomorrow at the latest.
Thanks for the points, and the trunk release works nice, plus there is the backup pull release if it didn't for some reason.

This is terrific stuff ! I'm hypersensitive to rattles, and this one in the trunk just recently started. I was going to open up the liner to "peek see," but it looked a little more involved than what I was willing to do.
Funny, I was going to cram myself in the trunk and let someone in my family drive me around just to find out where the rattle was. I'll go digging around this weekend and squash this sucker flat. Congrats to the SOX. We're from Atlanta, and can only enjoy the World Series wins of other teams. Thanks for the detective work.

Glad I could help. I hope your rattle is being caused by the same thing. At the very least you shouldn't be afraid to 'peek see'.
Ah, Atlanta, got to be the only baseball team in sports that their fans don't go nuts when they win the division. Its sort of expected.

I'm going to repost the pictures I had there before, considering the upload.pifiu.com web site does nice things to the link after a little time goes by (nice spoiler). I'll start by posting the pictures that I should have posted first the first time.

I was going to go to the dealer, but I decided to take a quick look myself first.
The red arrow points to a screw that was just barely touching one of the bars when the trunk was closed, and the two other red dots are where the bars slightly rub when the trunk is closed.
Looking straight up at the fix.
These were the 4 small clips that were needed to be taken out to pull back the liner to get to the bars.
I don't get any rattle anymore, and I'm not afriad to turn up the bass.
